Join us at the museum with Pete Dunda on the accordion to show off your best polka skills on December 27th from 5pm-7pm, festive outfits are encouraged!
During the mining days of Crested Butte and many other mountain towns in Colorado, immigrants from Croatia, Slovenia, and other countries brought the music and sounds to their new homes. Polka has a deep history in Crested Butte and was a way for the locals at the time to wind down and enjoy themselves.
Join us for a fun filled evening of this traditional style of music and dancing! The museum will have beverages available for purchase. This event is free, however we encourage a donation to the museum to keep this type of programming accessible for everyone.
