Join us for local history and adventure at the Magic Meadows Yurt!
At the Crested Butte Museum we partner with other local non-profits to host history events at the Crested Butte Nordic Magic Meadows Yurt. From free talks on the deck to multi-course dinners with full presentations, we offer an array of experiences. All of these events require a Crested Butte Nordic Pass and nordic skis or snowshoes (which can be rented from the Nordic Center) in addition to an event ticket (if event is ticketed).

History Ski Tour and Lunch at the Magic Meadows Yurt
Thursday March 20th, 2025
11:30am – 1:00pm
Join the Museum for a delicious lunch with a side of history at the Magic Meadows Yurt. This is a ticketed event that includes a light lunch for all participants. We will meet at the trailhead for a guided group tour out to the Yurt for a delicious lunch and enjoyable history talk. During our ski out to the Yurt, we will make multiple stops in historically significant locations and learn about the mines of the area. A nordic pass and gear will be required for this event.
If you require an equipment rental, we suggest setting one up ahead of time with the Crested Butte Nordic Center as rentals do sell out ahead of time.
