The Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum (CBMHM) has organized an online speaker series celebrating National Preservation Month in Gunnison County. We aim to highlight the many significant rehabilitation efforts that have preserved the history of our communities. Held over Zoom, several speakers and their projects will be featured every Thursday from May 14th through June 11th, 7 pm - 8 pm MT. Each speaker and preservation story will be introduced by Duane Vandenbusche, who will also provide the historical context to that project.

May 21st: Molly Minneman and Jesse Early, Town of Crested Butte Historic Design Coordinators sharing the rehabilitation of the Railroad Depot in Crested Butte, CO.

Other events in the series:

May 14th: Ian Billick, Executive Director of the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL) presenting on rehabilitation and preservation efforts in Gothic, CO.

May 28th: Gunnison County Historic Preservation Commission members Justin Lawrence and David Primus will review Gunnison County rehabilitation such as the Alpine Tunnel and Ranger Station.
