The Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum is excited to announce that we have reached our $550,000 Preserve Tony’s campaign goal!

Thanks to the generosity of many individuals, businesses, the Town of Crested Butte, and two History Colorado—State Historical Fund grants, we have completed our two-phased building rehabilitation project.

Tony’s Conoco now has:

  • A new roof
  • Repaired siding and trim
  • Restored windows, doors and floors
  • A fresh paint job
  • New furnaces
  • A rebuilt exterior west wall
  • A comprehensive building maintenance plan

As part of the campaign, we also seed funded a Building Preservation Fund that will allow us to proactively maintain our building.

Thank you to everyone who supported our campaign, you have ensured the preservation of Tony’s Conoco and our rich local history for future generations.

We invite everyone to stop by the Museum at 4th and Elk to learn more about our rehabilitation project and the many ways that we further our mission to “preserve and share the uniquely diverse history of the Gunnison Valley.” Together, we can make the past a living part of the future.
